Create an App From A Windows Template

windowsphoneappsIn August, Windows launched ‘Windows App Studio Beta’, a popular tool for developers to easily and quickly build their own apps. So far, there has been 65,000 apps built. They recently released an update that now allows users to integrate other phone functions into the app they’re building. Its quite simple to do too, menu-driven “actions” give a developer context-aware tasks like dialing numbers. The coolest upgrade is the addition of NFC into the system for getting software to other app studio users (so cool).

Since the original opening of beta, the development team has been working closely with its first user group to build out development and better understand how everyone uses the phone. The upgrades since initial release in August are:

  • Enhancements of code and organization of projects for developers
  • Cache is now handled differently so that you can use external data sources even if the phone isn’t connected
  • You can easily set the default language for simple publication to the Phone store.
  • Navigate with FlipView to quickly see data sources
  • NFC (mentioned before)
  • Visual Studio was optimized to get rid of outside reference, especially when they aren’t being used (simplifies the size and complexity of the project)

Has these new features convinced you to give Windows a shot at app development?  Just FYI- not just everyone can get into this beta yet. Those who want to try out the beta’s new and cool tricks, have to sign into the App Studio using a specific source link.

HTC, everyone’s desire.

As the HTC One has been launched already and has been out for several months now and therefore has come down a little in price. HTC one now can be picked up for around £500 for the 32GB model. In iPhone 5s Apple has put the combination of its New Apple A7 processor and M7 motion coprocessor that makes the iPhone 5s twice as fast as its predecessor when It comes to graphics and CPU performance. The HTC one has a Qualcomm snapdragon 600, quad-core, 1.7 GHz processor that comes with 2GB DDR2 RAM. However, Apple’s iPhone 5s wins here.

Let’s Tango!

Before the topic gets too out of hand, let us tell you that there is no such comparison between the two. However, Viber does not work in Saudi Arabia and out came Tango for the very first time. Tango did beat the downloads of the Viber app on the Playstore, but on certain notes, Viber is still preferred.

Regardless of these applications such as Tango, Whatsapp and Viber, we can also see Skype functioning. For all of these applications, an internet connection is a must but minute messages and sending files have been made easier with the development and the progress of former applications.

Also, we see that Tango has been quite popular in the Middle East where most of the people can be seen downloading the hit app for many purposes. Tango has achieved quite a few awards since last year and updating it has never been such a problem for app users.

As viber poses a few bugged problems in many parts of the world, mainly pertaining to its slow features and a lengthy loading process, people are seen busily using whatsapp on their phones. Whatsapp and Tango were the first communicating apps developed for Window phones with broad tutorials and upgrading features available on the internet.

Technology has been streaming by quite fast. There have been applications for almost everything. Ranging from either weather apps to game apps or to communicating apps. These apps have somehow enhanced life to a full-stop where most of the people can be seen sending texts to their friends even about a singular detail as if  Twitter and Facebook were not enough. Alas, it is a competitive frozen world out there.

Pocketed Applications: a brief look-up

As if computers and simple cell phones were not enough, developers and science philanthropists gave something new to the world which became the reason for a tough rivalry between the different types of mobile phone services throughout the world. The world started to battle and proceeded into the makings of a better phone.

Being abreast of the technology’s criteria, the high tech officials decided to give something new to the mobile-craving world, hence enlightening it with utmost pleasures of the powerful Android.

Android phones were an amenably important source for everyone. The high tech officials declared the introduction of a thousand applications which added to the charm of these smartphones and enabled the people to rule the world by only a single touch. Games, weather applications, social networking with the help wifi connections were just a touch away and the prices ranged from quite expensive to a scintillating reduction which would be fair and quite adherent to afford.

When perused with the question of the ability that caused the Smartphone to become a soaring Smartphone, one must be amused with the idea that it is totally at the hands of the hardware possessed by it. But, an intelligent person who would take an interest in the technology of the illuminated world would bypass that idea and reside complete gratitude to the phone’s capable dealings with software.

A million applications have set a new trend for manipulating the smartphones along with the keen and contrary repugnance to non-mobile monitoring devices. Hence, the types of applications that one may even decide to cast a revolution in the technological world may be inclusive of the following:  news applications, weather applications, entertainment and games applications, utilities applications, productivity applications, travel applications, social networking applications, sports and the search tool applications.

Sport applications have enlightened the soccer and the tennis lovers as they would certainly would prefer to be fully aware of the scores and the match sequencing time tables in just a  single touch, giving a different meaning to the term leisure.

Social networking websites such as MySpace, Twitter and Facebook have enabled people to tweet more often, adding to one’s headaches. However, facebook has probably earned twice or possibly ten times as more as it would have been earning earlier due to the increment in the number of likes, pages, photos and the posts that one may post when being functional on the road and anywhere on the earth.

Giving birth to a nuisance or elegance is totally dependent on the limit of usage that one prefers to administer while dealing with apps. Applications have certainly made life easier for bankers and others out there.

Android is still the leader in the United States, but iOS is starting to catch up!

As expected Android still leads the smartphone market in the United States and according to a recent analysis it’s among the most profitable regions for the smartphone industry. However compared to last year’s results, It seems Android is starting to lose its grip on the crown that it earned after many hard fought battles against Apple. On the other hand Apple is once again on its way back thanks to its new iPhone 5 and iO7. These new additions has clearly bought back ate last some of Apples lost fans and has therefore increased its overall smartphone sales. At this point Apple has gotten an overall 3% increase over its already gigantic share of the smartphone market which goes to show that it’s far too soon to rule them out. On the other hand Windows OS has seen great improvements but is still far behind the leaders, where as the BlackBerry OS share has dropped to 1.1% from 4% indicating that this must be it for them. However for now the battle is between Android and iOS and the others are just fighting for 3rd place.

Viber Also Available for Bada on Samsung Wave 3 and Wave M

Finally available on Bada is Viber, one of the applications of multi-platform instant messaging more popular in recent times, probably second, as a spread, only to Whatsapp. In fact Viber on other mobile operating systems, also allows free VoIP calls, this feature is not available on Bada, and most likely never will be. At a short span of time, Viber has conquered an undisclosed volume of users in households and mobile phones everywhere. Anywhere there is an active internet service, two parties can enjoy the benefits of engaging in a cellular conversation–absolutely free of charge. The only thing that’s crucial is that the two parties should be connected to the internet at the same time for the call to be possible.

At the moment, Viber is only available on Wave 3 and Wave M, even if it is assumed that should soon be able to be used on other Smartphones that use the mobile operating system from Samsung, in its 2.0 release.

Called to share with Viber, you can send messages and images, and share your location with other users, without the need for registration, password or invitations. Soon enough we might be hearing a rage clamor from the usual cellular carriers and providers, complaining a jagged decline in sales and cellular usage from their network, and people will be singing to the tune of “Viber killed the cellular star”.

More details about Facebook Home Released

As we already know that on April 12th, the Facebook Home is an exclusive feature that will be available for only a handful of Smartphones, these fortunate Smartphones are HTC One, HTC One X, Samsung Galaxy S3 , Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy Note and of course the HTC First. However there is yet hope for other phones as Facebook later announced that they will add compatibility for the Facebook Home for other devices through a series of monthly updates, now this may sound a little unfair that other smartphones have to wait a few months to get an application that we all know are capable of running in our smartphones but its still better than not getting it at all. HTC First will still be unique though as the Facebook Home preinstalled in it will feature a more advanced notification system but apart from that it’s pretty much the same as the upcoming Facebook Home that can be downloaded for the mentioned smartphones via Google Play. Every other smartphone apart from the HTC First will get their notifications through cover feed as a stacked up menu of sorts and can removed by swiping or opened by tapping and as for the rest of your notifications they will be available through the standard notifications drawer, but Facebook confirmed that as time goes they will bring the extra features to the downloadable version via Update.
